Kiwi Basil Gin Smash

An adult gin cocktail with crushed kiwi and fresh basil.

Ingredients

• 50 ml gin
• 1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
• 4 basil leaves
• 20 ml lime juice
• 15 ml sugar syrup
• 150 g ice cubes

Method

1. Crush the kiwi and basil with the lime juice and syrup in a shaker.
2. Add the gin and half the ice, then shake well.
3. Strain through a fine sieve into a short glass filled with the remaining ice.

A ripe kiwi blends more readily into the drink.
