Cherry Cocoa Whisky Short

An adult short whisky cocktail with cherry juice and a light cocoa sweetness.

Ingredients

• 50 ml whisky
• 25 ml cherry juice
• 2 tsp caster sugar
• 1/4 tsp cocoa powder
• 10 ml hot water
• 150 g ice
• 1 strip orange peel

Method

1. Mix the sugar and cocoa with the hot water until smooth. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.
2. Stir the whisky, cherry juice and cocoa mixture together with half the ice.
3. Strain into a short glass over the remaining ice and finish with the orange peel.

Use unsweetened cocoa powder so the sugar controls the sweetness.
